It was named Nagoran because it was discovered in Mt. Nago of Okinawa. It used to be seen widely in western part of Japan. During winter in Tokyo for example, need greenhouse or keep worm place in home to grow. When growen in pot it is strongly recomended to water freqently and do not let them dry out to keep them healthy. But sometimes too much water causes their root rot. Most safe way to grow Sedirea japonica is to mount cork or wood slub. Much attention is needed to grow in plastic pot. 70-80% shading and repot every year. Beautiful 4 to 10 flowers bloom in claster and has good flegrance too.
